Independent Swim Lessons
30 MONTHS - 14 YEARS
This class is designed to introduce children to the aquatic environment while introducing basic skills that will lead to independent, forward progression in the water.
No previous water experience is necessary.
This class is for students who are comfortable in the water, can blow bubbles, and are able to swim independently with their face in the water for a short distance.
The main goal of Level 2A is to provide self-assurance in independent swimming. Students will be able to swim 10 feet of the Front Crawl confidently and consistently and demonstrate the foundation for Back Crawl.
Prerequisite: Completed All Level 1 Skills
In this level, students build upon the foundational front and back crawl skills that were learned in level 2A. The main goal of Level 2B is for students to be able to swim 25 feet of both the front and back crawl safely and consistently.
This class prepares them for the challenge of rotary breathing that is introduced in Level 3.
Prerequisite: Must have accomplished all level 2A skills.
Prerequisite: Completed All Level 2A Skills
This level is for independent swimmers. In this level, students will refine their Front Crawl and Back Crawl. Rhythmic, rotary breathing will be introduced as well.
The goal of Level 3 is for students to be able to swim 50 feet of both the Front and Back Crawl safely and consistently and to demonstrate consistent rotary breathing.
Prerequisite: Mastery of all Level 2 skills.
In this class, students will build on the skills mastered in level 3. Swimmers will continue to build endurance, increase refinement, and improve proficiency with the Front and Back Crawl.
In addition, students will be introduced to the Butterfly. The goal of Level 4A is for students to be able to swim 100 feet of both the Front and Back Crawl and 50 feet of the Butterfly.
Prerequisite: Mastery of all Level 3 skills.
This level builds on the foundational skills of level 4A. Swimmers will continue to build endurance, increase refinement, and improve proficiency with the Front Crawl, Back Crawl, and Butterfly.
In addition, students will be introduced to the Breaststroke.The goal of Level 4B is for students to be able to swim 100 feet of both the Front and Back Crawl with open turns, 100 feet of the butterfly, and 50 feet of Breaststroke.
Prerequisite: Mastery of all Level 4A skills.
In this class, students will continue to develop and refine all four strokes, while building endurance with increased distances. Flip turns will be introduced.
Prerequisite: Mastery of all Level 4B skills.
This is our highest level of swimming achievement. Students technically refine all strokes and turns. Proficiency, efficiency, and endurance are the goal. Level 6 students please check level 5 and level 6 classes for additional combo class options CV/CVI.
