Congratulations to our Level 6 Champions in April!!

Alexander

Hi! My name is Alex and I am 12 years old. When I am not swimming, I love to play video games.  I remember being really little and starting my swim lessons with Ms. Megan. My favorite stroke is backstroke. I like how patient the instructors are and that I feel like I can work harder than I thought I could.

Eli

My name is Eli. I am seven years old and I am in first grade – almost in second grade. When I’m not swimming, I like to play hockey and video games. My favorite stroke is the breaststroke. Learning to swim was good for me because I enjoy going to the pool. The thing I like most about Charlotte Aquatics is the pool.

Eliana

My name is Eliana Havlik and I am 8 years old and in 2nd grade. I love reading and doing competitive cheerleading when I’m not swimming. I have been taking swim lessons since I was 7 months old. My favorite stroke is freestyle. I like diving at CA and I love when they put pumpkins in the pool and we swim with them. My favorite memory is when a teacher threw me like a cannonball across the pool.

Parent Note: I am very impressed with how much CA has taught Eliana over the years. She is such a strong swimmer and was able to jump right into a neighborhood swim team the past few summers and excel because of her background at CA. I am grateful not only has she learned swim safety, but she is proficient in all strokes. Thank you!

Harper

Hi! My name is Harper and I am 6 years old. When I am not swimming, I am in school, at dance class, crafting, reading, and singing along to my favorite Broadway shows! My best swimming memory was learning to tumble in the water. My mommy has saved all of my patches and certificates in a special book. Learning to swim has meant that I can now swim safely. What I like most about Charlotte Aquatics is swimming and laughing at Mr. William’s jokes. I was so happy to find out that I am graduating and that I get to keep swimming with Mr. William!

Kerrington

Hi! My name is Kerrington, I am 7 years old and in the 2nd grade. When I am not swimming, I am in school, participating in track and field, and playing flag football and basketball.  My best swimming memory was receiving my trophy, which I keep with my patches and certificates in my room.  Although I enjoy several of the strokes, my favorite is Freestyle.  What I like most about Charlotte Aquatics are the instructors and how they properly teach you how to maneuver in the water.  My favorite memories range from swimming with my daddy when I was in the Transitional Tot class to learning from all of the great instructors I had (Ms. Kathryn, Ms. Lexie and Mr. William) while at Charlotte Aquatics.

Luke

Luke is 7 years old and a first grader in Fort Mill, SC. He started at Charlotte Aquatics four years ago in level 1. He enjoys swimming and is joining his neighborhood swim team next month. When he is not swimming, he enjoys playing flag football and playing outside with friends.

Parent Note: We are very grateful to his fabulous instructors: Ms. Liz, Ms. Deborah, Ms. Katie, and Mr. William!

Steven

Hello, my name is Steven and I’m 9 years old.  I’m currently in 3rd grade. When I’m not swimming, I like to go practice and play golf with my dad and mom.  I like to go to Carowinds for the rides and I also enjoy playing games on my iPad.  My best and favorite swimming memory is the rope! I held on to the rope for the first time, I didn’t let go because I was scared. Mr. Mike told me that I had to release it so I could fall into the water, at that moment, I realized that it was fun.  After that, I love to jump into the pool and I still enjoy it.  I keep all my patches in my special shelf on the wall and I am really excited to get my graduation trophy!

My favorite strokes are the backstroke and freestyle.  Now that I can swim very well, I can swim and play in the pool with my friends, jump off the side and have fun.  The main reason that my parents wanted me to learn how to swim is for personal safety, so I can survive in the water.  I love all my instructors at Charlotte Aquatics because they are friendly and they make swimming lessons seem fun and exciting.
